In yesterdays very first studio class of this semester in Memory Identity and Neighborhoods we were asked to introduce ourselves by talking about what movies we like, or what we recently watched. When it was my turn to speak and I finally got the frog out of my throat (embarrassing), I told the class that I didn’t usually like anything that I could guess the ending to, for instance your average chick flick structure. I like thrillers, I like having to focus and figure out exactly what might happen and why, its like being a detective, and I love guessing what crazy thing might possibly happen and being close to what actually happens. I guess that this reason is why I’m currently re-watching Pretty Little Liars for the 4th or 5th time despite it’s annoying nature. It doesn’t quite fit the bill of the movies that I like but I guess with TV shows it’s a bit different, I don’t want to have to be super focused all the time, and sometimes shitty teenage story lines make me weirdly emotional and I love being attached to characters.

Anyway, I’ve been watching the show from the beginning of season 1 about 3 weeks ago and I’m already halfway through season 3 (I am an absolute binge king), I will continue watching it until I reach the very end, again, wish me luck with my terrible taste.
