The bonus reading Adrian provided us for this weeks class was crazy weird because some parts were highlighted and other parts simply were not. I took this to mean that the parts that were highlighted were the bits to be considered. My favourite of these highlighted bits concerned the essence of collages and the similarities they share with the editing process and beyond that, with the world of the blog. Collages for the main part are unique pieces of art that utilise other peoples art to create something with new meaning. Fragments of other ideas are combined to create a new idea and materials are being used that were perhaps not the intention of the artist, author, ideas man etc in their authentic and original form. In this way collages bare a strong resemblance to editing and the recreation of older works.
