The idea of post industrial media is what most interested me in the first lecture.
The media platforms we use are vastly more interactive and user-driven. Tying in to Alvin Toffler’s portmanteau of the proactive consumer, we are now (most of us) engaging with media as prosumers. Which is exactly what I am doing at this moment: proactively consuming the internet in order to collate whatever it is I find in relation to networked media and, eventually (and hopefully effectively), publish these findings on my blog.
