I have begun to write a production timeline for the rest of the semester. At the beginning of each week, I will post a list of what I need to complete by the end of that week. Here is what I need to do in week 7:
20th-24th April:
-take raw footage – walk through of Storey Hall (Monday) – through front doors, up stairs, into brick wall (need to hire equipment)
-call Wharf Trade Union + ask about 1917 strike
-look at National Film + Sound Archive
-start collecting sounds + music for film
-edit footage together with sounds in Final Cut
Ideally, I want to have the first part of the short film completed (roughly 1 minute clip of walking through Storey Hall) including all sounds – I will be able to show this for my mid-semester crit (brief 3) on Friday, and explain the second half of the film. This will give the class and panel an idea of what the rest of the film will look like.
