Using media techniques and high profile speakers to draw light on global issues has become common place. The use of unrecyclable plastic in the world today is a huge problem for pollution and sustainability. In this video Jeff Bridges talks about our “plastic society” and what we can do to change it. When I first saw this video I felt disgusted and empowered. I feel like the combination of footage and graphics as well as a simple interview was a great way to impact the audience. It was great to see how great of an impact you can create on an audience even within 4 minutes. This video has inspired me as a filmmaker because I watched it and thought “I could make something like that”. So now I am determined to create an awareness video that hopefully has similar impact on someone as this video had on me.
