The Made In Melbourne Film Festival is the only festival exclusively for our local filmmakers. MIM opens submissions for 2014 on Tuesday May 27th with a big launch screening and party.
2014 marks the sixth straight year MIM celebrates the desire, drive, and diversity of our local film making talent. And the festival is bigger and bolder than before: four days and nights, more sessions, more films, more awards; and once again open to shorts, features, and films by high school students. Tomorrow night’s launch sees MIM teaming with Melbourne’s most innovating and popular monthly film event, Final Cut, run by Richard Harris at the grungy and hip 1000 £ BEND in the heart of the city. The night will feature a retrospective screening of some of the best films from MIM, including major winners and high school standouts. Pop-up cabaret, circus acts, and street performers will also grace the event, the atmosphere bound to be buzzing and loaded with laughter.
