It honestly worried me that, as a second year Communication student, I had never ever heard of this word.
Sneakily, my good friend Georgia and I, opened a internet tab and typed in Siposuim. Let’s be honest, spelling is not my forte.
We immediately giggled and fist pumped at the idea of a weekly ‘drinking party’ in our Tuesday non-lecture. But the inherent purpose of a symposium being a convivial discussion seemingly tied this foreign concept to the overall notion of Network Media.
So while we prepare to embark on this adventure of time, space and blogging (or have we already left?) I have become equip with not only the knowledge of a new word (e.g: How would you like to join me for a Symposium this Saturday?) but with the spirited and some what inspirational concept behind it.
We have been invited in this subject to join the conversation. Not just listen and read but collaborate openly and hopefully transparently sharing ideas to reach the common goal- making sense of this cray cray world of blogging.
I will be drinking along the way.
