”These are people, This is real”

I enjoyed Kayla Brettle’s mini lecture today. She suggested that spending time in a space of interest and allowing ideas to develop as a result of inhabiting a space different to your own, is a much more organic and powerful way to embark on telling a story. I hadn’t thought about this before, I think I assumed that a film maker usually comes into a space with an idea already. Dangerous.
