For my creative portrait I attempted to show who I am and my interests.

  • Overall theme for this project was nature. I chose nature as a theme because with me, what you see is what you get. I’m very honest and don’t pretend to be anything but who I am. Furthermore, it shows my love of the outdoors.
  • When doing this project I had to think of ways I could should the connection between photo, audio and video. I did this buy choosing one thing about me and then showing it through each of the different mediums. For example, with Lake Eildon, my dog Ollie and love of music.
  • When I think of I identity, I think of not only who I am but why I am that person which makes me think of family. My family raised me and are the most important people in my life, which I why I thought it was vital that they were included in my creative portrait.
  • Additionally, one of my passions is helping people. I love volunteer work and just being kind to all those around you. Therefore I included a photo of me extending my hand out to another as a symbol of kindness.
  • Finally, the other thing I think of when I hear the word identity is national identity. Australia is the country were I was born and raised, and I feel extremely lucky to live in this beautiful country. As a result, I included a photo of me holding our nations flag which is a symbolic of patriotism.

All these different elements of my self portrait reveal different parts of who I am and the values I hold dear.
