During this week’s workshop, we discussed more on the topic of David Gauntlett’s reading – as I’ve written about in my previous post – used the time to reflect on our Haiku exercise we were given the week before, and discussed our progress with Project Brief 2 looming over us in less than a week.

Having some time to work in class on our project briefs and discuss with our tutor what our plans were and thoughts were so far was a godsend. After a few days of illness, and only two classes missed, I was already snowed under. Even after a week of playing catchup it still feels like I’m taking one step forwards and two steps back due to the sheer amount of backlog my absence has creating workload wise. It gave me some time to clear my mind, and that moment of clarity and calm allowed me to get back on track to complete my self portrait video. I’ll post some progress in the next day before its due, and probably discuss at some length the joys of working with an animal when taking any type of photo or video. Hint: it’s not overly enjoyable when said animal is a pug with no formal or informal training and a penchant for running off when told to sit still.

Until next time.
