Week 9. I think.
Looking at Eduardo’s video sketch. I assume this one is for the shadow sketch task.
It’s great how the video begins as a black screen, and then the black part becomes smaller and we recognise the shape of a phone. I don’t really understand what is happening and how it is happening, but I think Eddie is shining a torch at his phone which is filming its own shadow on the walls.
As Ed pans left and right, the shadow gets larger or smaller – depending on the distance of the wall (I think). This is uber cool and trippy. The camera is filming itself. It’s like inception.
I feel like something happens at the start but I don’t know what it is. It’s just trippy. I’m so confused by this video, it’s great.
Definitely fulfils the brief. Nice creative twist of using the camera source as the actual shadow. And nice visual creativity. It looked bloody cool – rapidly changing size of phone shadow.
