Week 9. Back to Lauren’s blog post on the lecture. She does some goooood posts.
Lauren discusses the lecture point about whether lists can create infinite possibilities. This is my stream of consciousness response.
I missed this point in the lecture. But yes. I think lists can be infinite. I think that’s one idea of nonlinearity. Lack of absolute end. Oh, but actually, at the same time, you can write a list with an end. A specific end. You just stop writing. It’s that simple. A predetermined end is a physical, concrete, unsurmountable one. So lists can be finite. But, yes, they have infinite potential. But isn’t that the same with anything? Or, at least, a lot of things? Stories can be infinite, can’t they? Like those songs that keep going around in a circle. Like the start is also the beginning. That’s sort of infinite right? OK, this is really confusing me now. I’m done. Good chat.
