ELLA’S AMAZING GUIDE TO COMM BALL ATTIRE

Why, hello, dear readers.

The Communications ball is coming up, and I thought I would help out all you boys who haven’t yet figured out what to wear.

It took me a while to realise that this circus-themed ball doesn’t actually mean circus-themed formalwear. I have to say that – upon receiving this news – I was somewhat disappointed. I was going to come as a mime. Never mind.

Whether you’re a fashionista who’s searching for a new stand-out look, or a less than fashion-savvy bloke without a clue for what to wear, I think I have the answer. I’m here to help you find the perfect ensemble so that you can let loose and focus on having a jolly old groove and celebratory boogie on the night!

Before we begin, I just want to point out a useful resource for those of you without an outfit for the ball: The Sims. Make a Sim. Go through the formalwear options. There you go, you have your outfit.

Now let’s get started!

First-off is a suit designed to impress. This high-fashion getup is perfect for any of you daring, fashion-forward lads who also want to keep it cool. Throw this on, and you’ll look as suave as Bond himself.

These, too, are acceptable choices. Timeless and classic, perfect for this occasion.

Alternatively, if you’re seeking a more avant-garde look…

Then again, we just can’t look past this fabulous ensemble. Rumoured to be inspired by the Adrian Miles himself.

If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you might want to take a peek at these new arrivals (can be found at David Jones. Get on it).

Brilliant. Simply exquisite. My personal favourites.

Of course, an instant hit. I almost forgot about this one. Daring, yes, but always a success. Sent to me from the fabulous Tiana Koutsis with the words, “you’ve got to risk it to get the biscuit”. < You’ve heard it from the expert, guys.

My advice for you boys – just ask the question, what would Zoolander do?
