Audio, Group Work and Adobe Audition

To start our media workshop (week eleven), we started by listening to an interesting audio piece. The piece had overlapping audio, something that was quite interesting to listen to – the audio was then revealed to be about gender, individuals and their abstract ways of audio. We then discussed the piece in detail.

We then went and worked on an audio activity using Adobe Audition. We decided to capture film around RMIT, the city and Melbourne Central to get a large range of audio ideas. We then melded these sounds together on adobe audition to create an abstract piece – mine was created around the attention of individuals in the city of Melbourne. Adobe Audition has been interesting to work with – I am not used to using the software (I have used audacity more). We also had a group meeting where we discussed our work for our project four brief, which is going successfully at this point.
