In my 1 minute of edited footage for Assessment #2 of Media 1, I sought to create a self-portrait of who I think I am and want to be while making it clear I am still not certain exactly who I am. I included questions about myself, including the title, alluding to what I may be and creating an idea of my character in the viewer’s mind while informing them I am still growing as a person. The sounds display my interests of being outdoors (backyard sounds, city noise) and of sport (basketball bouncing) and accompany pictures displaying my interests. The video’s show other hobbies of mine such as watching basketball and playing with my dog. These, accompanied with the image of my family members, show how much family life means to me and help build my portrait. I used a fade in/fade out transition in between different pieces of footage to ensure the product ran smoothly and each piece of footage blended well so the audience could create an intricate image of who I think I am and who I want to be. The outdoors images of trees and bushes combined with the outdoor audio to create an environmental feel as well as give a fresh viewpoint.

A number of problems were also faced, including the different dimensions of the videos taken and images taken which clashed. The program Adobe Premiere took me quite a while to understand as well.
