I, very much like the rest of the cohort, have been shell shocked over the last reading by Paul Graham, in which he challenges the essay in a highly convincing way.
I don’t really have that much to add to Graham’s discussion, I am however stuck in a dilemma as I slave away, trying to complete my Cinema Studies essay before it’s due (which I’m sure all of you are doing as well), wondering whether I give Graham’s method a crack, which makes completely logical sense but will surely guarantee me an average mark, or do I continue to write the stock standard essay which has been done a million times before and feed this vicious cycle of essay writing?
