One thing I really admire about the editing of this scene and the most notable factor of it (especially in regards to the audio) is the way in which the dialogue is overlapped at pretty much each edit point. For example as one of the characters has finished their bit of dialogue the shot still remains on him while the next section of dialogue from the other character begins and then returns to the relevant character who is delivering the dialogue a few short seconds later. In doing this it establishes a great sense of aural flow and continuity and is a technique me and my group have definitely taken on board.
Other quite noteworthy audio moments in the scene aside from the dialogue are the incredibly sharp sound effects especially in the beginning sequence. These include the fish getting thrown on the table, the lighter and the rustling of the envelope and photograph. The sound effect of the crickets also heighten the sense of isolation of the characters, building up the suspense finally reaching its crescendo when the more dominant character shoots the other.
