So after converting all of our shots into ProRes files (something I wish I had known for everything else i’ve filmed this year) we were ready to begin the gruelling task of editing.

After having the notion of proper housekeeping when it comes to editing both in sound and video drilled in to me for years, I knew that the first few hours of the editing process needed to be set aside to organise Premiere properly to make everything a lot easier down the road.

It was disappointing to see a few shots which we really liked be slightly out of focus, something I really need to improve my eye with while filming. Another main issue with some of our footage was the shakiness of some of our footage, where we had a good shot for about 5 seconds but we are limited if we want any more of that shot as the shot begins to shake shortly after, which will be a challenge i’m sure we will be able to overcome.

It wasn’t all bad though! A lot of shots turned out great, including ones that didn’t feel great while filming which was a very pleasant surprise.
