A Mocumentary

– A 15 year old boy, Jimmy, dies from asphyxiating in the horse manure tank on the family’s farm
– One man, bill the stepfather, is arrested and charged for the boy’s murder and is the subject of personal interviews and recounts from his high security jail cell
– The jail is exposed for its poorly managed security and guards often walk by the camera’s background to have a peek or make a face
– Detectives give interviews discussing their suspicion of the horse’s amount of poo in such a short time and it’s suspected involvement but they’ve never really liked bill, due to losing to his cricket team in the grand finals 5 summers ago, so it was a good chance to get him and his bragging out of their face.
– The mother interviews from her home about her confusion and sadness and stepbrother, 18-year-old Ben, joins in. But in private interviews the stepbrother admits his dislike for Jimmy and how comical he thinks the situation is, making jokes and drawing pictures
– Jimmy doesn’t have many friends and the producers of the documentary struggled to find people to recount the life of Jimmy and instead take randomly selected kids from Jimmy’s school who don’t know who he is or only know about what happened to him.
– Bill still maintains his son and the horse framed him and they worked together to plan the best diet and time, his evidence lies in ben’s bedroom where he found a feeding schedule and horse laxatives.
