Question 7

From the lighting lecture I learnt a lot about the way lighting can be used to recreate time and space. I think it’s interesting the way cinematographers use lighting to re-encapsulate moods and times even when these may not represent the reality on set. I think it’s interesting because when you’re watching a film you don’t consciously think about the lighting as an effect, especially not in comparison to dialogue and music, and once you gain a better insight on the techniques you become aware fo how important it is to create the right light and how much effort goes into encapsulating the aimed space.
