Presentation film making idea (Final)

Idea for film presentation

Instagram allows people to take photos with their mobile device and then, with the tap of a finger, crop, add coloured filters, and post the image online. They wait for their followers to judge the picture—to “like” the photo.

With Instagram, the needs to deal with long-houred phone calls to maintain relationships with people are gone. Its “news feed” (picture that shared) feature allows “friends” to consume news content from other people and stay in touch through the content being shared.

To many people, Instagram is like a stage, and their followers are their audiences. Their followers monitor the stuff they share on social media, which forces them to build this image of a ‘perfect person’ living in a good live.

As with all the past social networking sites, the potential for abuse is always there. But if utilized constructively, it can assist in making our lives easier, more productive and stay more connected with each other. Most importantly, Instagram provides the feasibility of instantaneously passing on a ‘friend’s’ thoughts and feelings without going through the nuances associated with face-to-face contact.

So… The questions are… what are followers on Instagram? Why, if the relationships on it are seemingly shallow and self-serving, is Instagram gaining popularity and publicity? The video I showed in class earlier is to show everyone how is it like our lives on Instagram VS our actual real life, and the relationship between the people and the Internet community

Method :

  1. Get cast
  2. Interview people by asking them what do they think about Instagram brings to their life? Is it good or bad. (Will prepare more questions)
  3. Do voice over in the short film

These shots will be as listed as below,

  1. Full shot – The subject takes up the full frame
  2. Mid shot and Medium close up (Similar) – Shows some part of the subject in detail
  3. Close up – Certain subject takes the full frame
  4. Two shot – A shot of two people
  5. Noddy shot – A shot that refer actor listening and reacting to the subject
  6. Weather shot – The subject of weather. For example, sun rise.
