With the modern improvement of filmmaking, many settled scenes are not required to be there but instead of the green screen with post-production called VFX. In Week 2 course, I was surprised that Melbourne studios have also produced many famous films such as Deadpool, Antman, The Avengers by Luma Pictures & The Eternals, Loki, Shang Chi, Game of Thrones, Mad Max Fury Road, Ted, Ghostbusters, Thor Ragnarok by Iloura and so on. Moreover, as a result, I am more interested in how AI tech potentially impacts modern filmmaking as it might assist VFX experts to boost the progress in post-production. Here provides an example of how AI improves the final result of post-production.
“Pixar “trains” their own AI spiders to spin webs in the background scenes which allows Pixar’s VFX team not only to acquire more valuable time to create/work on the next scene but also the quality of details are perfectly achieved. Once the Spider engineers enter the data of webs the art team needs, it will automatically generate the form they require.
