Inspiration

The thing I was thinking of is what is the interpretation of “mobility” and “personality” that mentioned in Jeans Epstein’s theory. Jeans believes that if a film achieves “filmic” (sense of film), it usually involves reproduction to express the characteristic fo time flowing. So in somehow, he reckons film can be demonstrated in many ways to emphasis the different time and space. For example, a documentary may be a way to represent or a history or a future. The Thin Blue Line(1988) is a documentary whose director is Errol Morris. the most amazing is, this film attempts to edit as a drama through a narrative story with step-by-step restoring the crime scene. When we are watching it, I can feel the history and the time passing are being told through the re-enactment. In another way,  I was thinking of how about if we turn the video slow down into a really incredible moment to represent an “invisible” details in daily life. When a 120 fps video plays speed down to 30fps, we can see 4 times slow which makes us to capture the flow of time. So I decided to execute a series of slow-motion artworks to represent the things that we unseen in daily life.
