an’expertise’ audio snippet from class
This class exercise using the Zoom microphone was interesting. I learnt that not only is audio very important when making a film, but it also has to sound perfect and this is something that is not done when the film is being shot. Audio is a seperate medium. It is also important to make sure that the audio has the right pitch, echo, and exact sound that it would in the film. I enjoyed learning about how to control and work the zoom, changing decibel levels, working on distance from the sound to get the right sound, and making sure the camera is working and trying to get the best sound out of it. I discovered how interesting audio is to me, because in previous work i had never recorded audio separately on the zoom. I realised the benefit of doing this now and from now on i will be thinking and appreciating audio more.
