Todays tutorial we kept working on our project on mediums. It went well, i downloaded the found footage i will be using in the video i will create and i also began making the video. We wrote a short synopsis of the project and posted it to our google drive folders so teachers can know more about the project, and to clear any confusion. Here is a snippet of our groups synopsis: Within the topic of ‘mediums’, our group has decided to focus on the idea of conflict, more specifically – how conflict is/has been represented by different mediums across a variety of time periods. We plan to create an informative website/blog which will comprise of numerous short videos and written information – these components will hopefully effectively explore and describe the properties and functions of different mediums and how they have evolved over time. In relation to conflict, we aim to investigate how the media’s representations of conflict have evolved since the WW1 period and the possible effects that these different media forms may have on their audiences.
