Self Portrait Project – here you will find 2×20 second audio pieces, 2×20 second videos, 4 photographs and an explanation of how it all represents my identity
My name is Cheyenne Bradley, I’m 18 and studying Media at RMIT University.
My 2×20 second audio clips are =
- me playing the ukulele
- my soccer training
Both of these activities I do quite regularly. I enjoy music and although I’m not great at it, I enjoy playing. I am heading into my 10th year of playing soccer this year; it has been a huge influence on my identity in terms of the social aspects of the sport, it has taught me teamwork and stemmed my competitive nature.
My 2×20 second videos are =
- the outskirts of my home, at which my identity is formed from a young age, and of my dogs which I have had for years, and who have taught me responsibility and truly what ‘a man’s best friend’ means
-
- a time-lapse of my journey to the train station which I do each morning
The pictures used represent my identity are =
- student at RMIT University, where my identity will grow and change.
- I frequently go to parks and enjoy nature, which is where I can explore the importance of solitude in identity. A picture of
- My twin sister and myself is included; because she has influenced my identity for my whole others merge our identities into one singular identity.
- My parents at a younger age, with a picture of my close family in the background. This is because I personally believe that identity is truly formed from the family at which a person grows up with.
