For our upcoming music video production, our group has chosen a song called ‘homeless’. After listening to the song, it immediately brings the name of Lee Jeffries to mind. Lee Jeffries is one of my favourite photographer who captured gripping portraits black and white portraits of the homeless. In most of his photographs he gave a light in those homeless’ eyes revealing the message of hope. He infused them with light, not darkness. Here are some of his photographs:

The clarity in their eyes is awesome to behold, as if God is somewhere in there.

Jeffires’ photographs are just so real that you can feel the emotion through their eyes. For our group project, I have an idea of filming a short documentary of those homeless people on the street. We can have a story, or rather not. Through our music video, I want to arouse a message of hope and caring. Likewise, we can have some close-up shots similar to Jeffires’ photographs where we focus on those objects’ eye.
