So far in this course, I have learned both theory and practical of making and analysing a film. In the first week, I have learned how to analyse and deconstruct a scene and to see what the director is thinking. The second week until the fourth week, I have learned how to recreate a scene from different films with different styles;
Personally, I like working alone because I feel that I can create something purely with my creativity and style. I make my own videos and post them on Instagram and Facebook and they were all shot and edit by me. Hence I am pretty confident in working alone. However, somehow I would like to work in groups because I want to learn to work with more different people and adapt to their personality and style. I want to know what people think. I have done these ‘crazy’ ideas for videos but I want to know how it can collaborate with other people’s ‘crazy’ ideas. Plus, working in group is A LOT more efficient, IF YOU GET ALONG, otherwise it would be HELL! I’ve done group work in the past and I wasn’t satisfied with the outcome due to communication barrier and such. However, working with the right people, the ones you can click with can create a masterpiece. During the holidays, I tried making another visual effect/magic video but this time with a help of a friend, it makes the project seemingly more fun, efficient and more ideas. From then on I figure I would really like to work in a group project rather than a solo one.
