In week 3’s class, each and everyone of us are supposed to direct a scene, with only ONE shot. Really, it was tough because we have to cover a couple of dialogs with just one shot. However, finding an angle wasn’t really a big deal but the lighting, the atmosphere and time was our biggest issue. We split 6 minutes for each and every one of us to finish our part but apparently it was not enough. The last few of us had to just ‘shoot and go’ and did not even have the time to check how our shots look like. Also, the roles was kind of chaotic as well because it was not planned who will be acting and who will be doing camera and sound when the director changes. All in all, it was a rather a fun experience because we had to deal with time.
I think this week’s epiphany relates to last week, time. More pre-production time will help saving a lot of time in production
