Well, that struck me the most on the symposium was probably Adrian’s talk about us being so obsessed with the definition and the meaning of that something based on a couple of questions given. This might not be really related to the questions given for Symposium 2, but I’m just going to write something about this because I find it interesting somehow. For instance, people question much about what is Korsakow films and what Youtube means, but why not instead of asking what they mean, people should be curious of what they do. What does Korsakow do and what does Youtube do, what does taxonomy do and so on so forth.
Anyways,
I’ve just read Ali’s blog post on power struggles. I have to agree to Ali on his idea that we’re also talking about persuasive powers of the written word rather than oral. This oral taxonomy is easily discharged because it has this interesting idea of being recorded from somewhere far away, perhaps in a forest or something, like he said.
