Basically ideology is everything. It refers to any set of values or body of knowledge. The popular use of ideology often associated with propaganda. It is also being said that ideology functions in a way that it convinces the audience that the idea it offers up is timeless and historical… and true. A German politician economist, Karl Marx views ideology as ‘something else’ is substituted with reality so as it provides a false meaning of life.
Let’s say for example;
The ideology of the reality TV Show MasterChef:
So one of the biggest ideology in this reality tv show is that it makes the winner like he or she is the greatest chef in their respective country whereby they are actually competing among a few people in the show. Also, the judgement made are made by three or four judges. If they don’t like it, it’s basically means.. awful. Who knows someone might like it that way. It also gives the idea that the judges are always right. Every dishes even the most delicious dishes has its faults. Lastly, the show is starting to become more of an entertainment rather than a regular cooking competition.
