Feedbacks:
- Change the name of “What is authentic Chinese food” to “Authentic Chinese Food”
This is actually a very useful feedback. I thought about this after the pitch and I realized that the beginning question of the film should not be title of the film, so the new name sounds more appropriate.
- Put the Chef’s interview in front of the “New-style” restaurant owner’s interview.
As we are exploring the authenticity of Chinese food, it will include many traditions and Chinese cultures; therefore having someone who can represent those things to start the film will be better. This is also why we received the feedback to change the order of those two interviews. In our plan we will go and interview a restaurant called “Ru-Yi”, which is a Chinese restaurant making “new-style” Chinese foods, so having them as the first interview will affect the flow of the film in a negative way.
- The pitch includes too much visual things.
The reason why this pitch is highly focused on the visual part of the film is because our flow of the film and how it will be ending all depends on the answers we hear from our interviewees. As we haven’t start shooting yet, we don’t know how it will go down yet, so at the moment I can only plan out how I will be framing the interviews and food scenes and choose what kinds of lenses I will be using in the shooting.
