I did a little sound collage as the intro of my PB4. I used it to stimulate a scene of someone trying to write an essay but got distracted by social media notifications. One of the feedbacks I received was panning sounds to different sides will make the intro sound better. I thought it was a really helpful advice so I went home and did a little research about stereo sound. Then I found this on YouTube.
When I put on my headphones and listened to it, I felt amazing. What an astonishing effect it is bringing to the audio. The sound of the plastic bag over your head, the sound of your hair getting shaved off and the sound of people walking around behind you. It all felt sooooooo real, like you are actual sitting in the barbershop.
So I did it to the intro of my final cut, put some of the sound effects to the left, some to the right, the main ones in the middle. The scene felt a lot more real, notifications and phone rings coming from every direction really helped with the intensity I was trying to create. I am pretty sure it will give my audience a much better experience when they listen to it.
This taught me a new skill in audio editing, and it is definitely something I will keep using in the future. All thanks to a helpful feedback!
