In our plan, we had a few scenes to shoot in the Victoria Market with both our characters to be a part of the memories. However, it is very difficult to find a day when everyone is free, so we decide to go there and experiment, so we can make sure everything goes right in the actual shooting and what happened in the shooting will not happen again.

So Samantha and I went to the night market and started looking for things to shoot. I love the lighting there, the shops selling LED balloons have a lot of colorful LED lights around, it will be very nice to do a close-up shot on it with a shallow depth of field. So I used a 100mm F2.8 Macro lens and take a few shots, I think they can be used between the memories because the colorful lights look happy and warm, can really blend in with he sweet vibe or memories. The lights in the market are mainly in warm colors, a lot of red lights and yellow lights on the roof give the place a warm feeling. The smoke coming from the BBQ booth also adds a little more daily atmosphere to the place.

I took a lot of nice shots on the LED lights and experimented with how the strong red light looks on people’s face, they all worked out really well. I think this is a very location to film, the approachable feeling it gives me really make me feel like the right place to film memories.

In conclusion, I have shot some abstract shots for transitions of the film, found some great lights that can be used for the actual shooting, and the strong red light really caught my eyes, I believe it will look very nice in the film.

PS: Ummm….. I wrote this blog right after I come home from the shooting. I just check my camera, my memory decides to forget everything that happened last night, so I won’t be able to show any videos or photos in this post because THEY ARE ALL GONE AND I DON’T KNOW WHY.
