In this video I focused on the pace of it more then the previous one. From the beginning of the small lighting swing into the rapid changing light bulbs I was trying to achieve a abstract look and I am glad with the outcome.
The filming of this film is a lot easier than the previous one because the images are very stable and easy to capture. I also put in a few seconds of dark image into the sequence although this film is based on the theme of light. I did it because I think darkness is also a representation of light, if there is no light then the concept of shadow and dark will not exist. So I think it is necessary to include a bit of darkness in this film. At the end of the film I put a light painted question mark. I did that because I want to let me audience think about the meaning of the film and why did I chose to put the footage in this particular order.
I didn’t have too much time to prepare for this video so there are some details that can be improved. For example the second last scene when a light goes across the screen very fast, I think the position of the light can be changed in order to have a better visual effect. I am actually not very impressed with the ending photo, but I didn’t have any better inspiration when I was shooting the footage so next time I will try to think of a better way to present a question mark in a light painting photo.
