During this week I took all these photos by setting an alarm each day to notify myself to notice things and record it. The main purpose of this exercise it to make myself notice things more naturally, so I think it will work the best if I start with things around me or things use and see everyday. When I took the photos I mainly focused on the texture of things because I personally like to take detailed photos so textures actually provided me a lot more things to capture.

Here are the six photos I took during the week.

Texture of leather on my Headphones

Reflection on my computer screen

Texture of stainless steel

Texture of wood

Texture of chopsticks

Texture of leather on my wallet

Before I took these photos I did not notice how good these ordinary things look. Which actually responds to the name of the studio “Seeing The Unseen”. These are definitely beautiful things I see everyday but automatically ignored. During the exercise there was one day I forgot to set the alarm so I didn’t manage to take a photo that day. This accident became a reminder for myself. Because after that I remember to notice things around me, it became more like a habit to me. Which means the exercise did work and I can notice things more naturally now.
