I have been a fan of rap music for many years, and in my opinion, other than rhymes and flows, the voice of the rapper is one of the most important elements of the songs.  This week we discussed and listened to things about sound texture in our classes and it reminded me about how I recognize different rappers by just listening to their voices.

This is a song made by four different rappers, and each of them has a very signature voice so as soon as they start rapping, I am able identify them by listening to their voice. Drake sounds lazy, Kanye West sounds arrogant, Lil Wayne sounds interesting and Eminem sounds aggressive. When there is no visual image showing people their faces, your voice is the only thing telling people who you are.

This is also important for my project brief 4. Since it is an audio with a length of 7 to 8 minutes, it is really important for audiences to remember the voice of each person so they will not get confused in the later part. So I should probably use my deepest voice for this assessment, LOL.

Sound texture and signature voice is highly related, I hope by looking into these two terms and doing some research can help me develop my audio making style.
