Self-portrait can be made of many different things. It can be a selfie, a painted portrait, or different elements that makes you who you are.

This week we shared our self-portrait assessment with our group members. The diversity of self-portrait caught my attention. Everyone showed his or her hobbies, interests, strength and even relationship status. It’s crazy how much information these photos, videos and audios can tell their audience, a self-portrait can be made of so many different kinds of media.

So, what makes a self-portrait? Every part of you that makes you who you are can be a self-portrait of you when it is expressed through a type of media. Personally, I do photography, so a photo of my equipment or a video showing the process of my photography can be a self-portrait of me.

A self-portrait can be so much more than just a photo or a painting of myself, and it is interesting to explore the depth of my own self portrait.
