Our first semester is finally (if not prematurely) coming to an end.  These 12 weeks have flown by so fast and the amount of knowledge I have gained is actually quite noticeable.  Sometimes I think that maybe I know more than I do and completing this semester is just another reminder that I’m not as knowledgable as I thought.  This is a good thing!

Aside from gaining weeks of knowledge in regards to media technologies and attitudes surrounding these technologies, I have also gained a confidence that I did not think was possible.  I started with little knowledge regarding microphones and video cameras and of course had no idea how to edit the footage I captured.  Adobe Premiere seemed like a nightmare that I was trying to put off until finally, I had to toughen up and learn how to use it.  I had some help from students and teachers along the way, but I worked most of it out myself.  When I first started this course I didn’t even know how to blog at all!  So, if that’s the basis of what I have achieved so far, I am proud of it.
