This kind of discussion is quite daunting for me.  It seems to make this course seem more ‘real’, rather than just sitting in a class room and discussing and learning about media.  Even the sheer thought of moving into the real world into a professional media organisation is extremely nerve racking.  I guess this is how we learn.  We learn through practical experience and in particular, I learn in this Kinesthetic way.

We have to complete 80 hours of work ‘attachment’.  80 HOURS!  It seems like so many.  So many hours to mess up and ruin my reputation, but so many hours to learn and make something of myself.  I am thinking that I want to move into television and hopefully presenting.  I’ve always wanted to be in front of the camera, so this is my best opportunity to actually gain some experience as well as seeing if I actually like the field.

So, am I going to be amazing?  Or am I going to be a coffee-runner.  I want to succeed.  I want to be known, so I guess this lecture is an eye opener to put your best foot forward.

Regardless, you’ve got to do the hours otherwise you can’t graduate.  Suck it up.
