Today we had our first ‘real’ look at Broadcast Media.  This is super exciting for me because I’m hoping to follow a career in television, broadcasting and presenting (fingers crossed).

Media 1 so far has been primarily about audio and video production and I was beginning to feel a little lost – thinking that maybe I am in the wrong course.  I’m still a little unsettled and have been looking into transferring over to communications and journalism, but I think media may actually be a stronger course fundamentally than journalism.  The course outcomes for both courses suggest that staying media as opposed to journalism will result in more job opportunities.  So right now I am happy studying media and I am looking forward to studying broadcast media as an elective next semester.
