This week, I polished up on what I want out of this subject and condensed my checklist to something I am pretty happy to judge and evaluate myself on. I think I have written down things that will not only assist my learning, but also will challenge me and my approach to this subject. Rather than writing down goals that would guarantee me a HD at the end of semester, for eg. Attend at least one lecture and one class, I think my list has a broad scope of requirements.
I am able to come back to this post each week and give myself a grade depending on whether or not I completed my set goal, and how well I was able to do this.
Grading: Per week.
1) In the past I have had difficulty comprehending and actively engaging with readings. To improve this and to better my learning, I will not only make key points from the set readings each week, but also raise questions from within the readings in a weekly blog post which will assists my performance.

2) I have previously had little motivation to engage with lectures, seeing them as a chore to attend. If I had a question or an issue I would not persist in gaining clarification, instead just letting it go unsolved. In order to identify my strengths and areas needing improvement, I will document my engagement in a weekly blog post of minimum 2-3 paragraphs.

3) I feel as though my technical abilities may let me down in this subject in terms of my performance, therefore to prove my improvement over the course of the semester, I will begin noting down confusion or difficulties I may have with programs or complex terms, and by the end of the semester I will be able to see and prove how I have overcome them.

5) I feel as though actively engaging in class discussion and exercises is important for my learning as it helps me to feel confident with what I do and I can gain insights and from both Seth and classmates. This semester I would like to see myself participating more in class, volunteering and partaking in discussions, and also engaging with course material.
