After the presentation of each person’s proposal this week in class, Nicolette and I have decided to collaborate our ideas and work together for the rest of this semester.Nicolette’s proposition was based upon work she had completing early last year – a portrait of an artist named Cat. She wants to further her exploration of Cat as a character and create an interview and profile on her for a magazine she is working on later this year. We thought that it would be good to collaborate our ideas in this instances, as she is attempting to create some kind of template to base further explorations on (so we will create something on Cat with the consciousness of created a formula to follow on other artists). I think that this would allow me to further my development as a filmmaker, with the presence of mind to later continue my investigation of Ko and his character. I think that developing my ideas in virtue of Nicolette’s will enable a further understanding of consciousness of others, one of the three ideas I mentioned in my talk. Working alone would not allow me to gain the awareness of others around me and would limit me in my observation of others in an occupied environment. Later I may continue my project on Ko alone, but I think that collaborating allows me to look at all three aspects of consciousness I wish to grasp:
