Location

Location is important to any film. It is often the first thing we notice, and sets our emotions to a desired mood. We create expectations based on a particular environment which can than be fulfilled or manipulator to create a certain sense of meaning. We previous listed locations that we found interesting, but I think that there was one I missed. I only remembered this one after speaking to Paul and discussing character and environment possibilities…

Masked by a think layer of bricks and at the end very tip of the freeway sits a warehouse perched three stories high. Two small flights of stairs inside lead to an entrance of desk that remains unoccupied. This is the lowest level, the home to the basement. The only natural light in the room finds itself obscured by the feet of pedestrians on the street as they walk by. The porcelain bounces it to the mirrors who return it so kindly. The light is mainly lost however, in the abundance of grey. It feels cold.
