Tutorial 2: 3 hours long

Did this today. ^^^

From today’s tutorial, I cant help feeling a bit of dismay, confusion and helplessness. Swamped by meaningless questions posed as meaningful and profound quips and surrounded by thoughts of “is this really what is happening right now?”

The best way to explain this is to start at the end. Two minutes to go and we’re told, what we’ve been writing, without time to ask for help or without time to discuss how to write it, or if there is any way we should be writing, if the writing is being marked for it’s grammar, is there a length it needs to be……..is due. It is due, in narrated form, next week as a sound track and that we are to have pair it with a video in which the object that is written about is not allowed to appear. Cool. Good to know.

Having spun down the gyre of slightly-meaningless-rationalism to an ‘end’, it shows that the possible reality of this course is that it’s stuck in itself, like a mirror to a mirror, endlessly repeating. Unnecessarily and meandering around a waterfall of answers. a waterfall of which will either drown me or cleanse me of my own problematic attitude. the means to the end is more important when we get graded at the end and periodically. The concepts are flying through my brain at a rapid speed incurring more rapid judgment and ire. It’s all a bit much.

The tutorial posed interesting interactional questions between all of us and our surroundings. including touching on the ethics of pet ownership and various technological related relationships. Not to be dismissive, but the nature of my relationship with my sister was always going to be different than with my laptop. It’s fundamentally important to understand how though, if you think so.
