This week has been a productive week. Our female willy wonka group have finally collated all the necessary footages together. On Thursday and Friday, we filmed a few more of B-Roll footages along with some of the atmosphere audio recordings, which was put for the rough cut. We consulted with Rohan again throughout Thursday for an advice before we submit the rough cut for Cindy to go through. We experimented a lot of the documentary in terms of its story structure, archival clips of our participant, audio and more. Thus, the rough cut contained most of what we think were necessary and that was very minimal. This is because most of our clips were either not of a good quality in terms of its focus, white balance, exposure, etc. or it has a very poor audio. As a result, we decided to cut our documentary to 4-minutes instead of 6. But, making sure that we incorporated the most relevant and interesting footages and edits for the story we intend to tell through this documentary as much as possible.
Although we weren’t quite sure of the story structure fully yet, we were sure that most necessary footages (audio and video) were present. Therefore, we wanted to know what Cindy and Rohan might think is the best thing to do after watching the rough cut and try to fix it again next week.
