Since the last post, I’ve gone out to shoot some more Camera Angle experiment, to test out my idea. I went out to building 11 of RMIT (as it turns out) and shot some more of angle experiment. As well as, edited all together to show on Week.7 pitch and presentation. However, there were some problems during uploading this particular experiment together. Apparently, the video couldn’t get uploaded on the editing software at that time. So, I tried screenshotting some of the clip I had, turn them into stills or pictures and edit together that instead.
Here’s what I ended up with:
Although this experiment did not turn out so great for the post-production (editing) part of it, I did manage to work with what I had envisioned. Thus, I was able to be sure of what I wanted to show for Week. 7, during the presentation or pitch.
I’ve decided to use a ‘park’ as my final focus. But, if there’s someone who has another idea of an ‘open space’ location I am looking for that will turn out to be great for this project during my presentation feedback, I will definitely consider it, as well as, scout for new locations even if, it didn’t quite match of what I initially envisioned, maybe, it could be better!
For now, I wanted to use a park because it had the perfect setting I had in mind – the greenery, blue sky, trees, etc. And from my experience conducting this second Angle experiment with Grace, I really liked the way a ‘park’ – although, this wasn’t one, but the idea of one, really just inspired me to focus on this. Not to mention, there is a wider space to film, for the character to act, to experiment back and forth, some parks are not too crowded and it simply, just beautiful setting (especially, during the day). I felt like audiences could get so much from seeing a park and obtain their own meanings to a video or in this case, ‘series of experiments’. Thus, this setting or location to me finally, at least, for now, developed my idea so much more.
