The first post I chose was a post about the second lectorial. I chose this as it discusses the different sources of media in our everyday lives and I believe this was a key lecture that helped later develop ideas in my project brief 4. The next post I chose is entitled ‘film frames‘ and is based off an article that was posted on the media facebook group. The article discusses the first and last frames of 55 films, I then chose to pick 7 of my favourite films and create a split screen of both the first and last frames, discussing their connection. I believe this help me first experiment with split screen, which again I utilised in my last project as well as connecting links between film shots. The next post I chose which illustrates my engagement in Media 1 is a blog post about the television show Malcolm in the Middle. This posts discusses the use of unrelate footage in the opening credits of Malcolm in the Middle to convey certain meanings to audience. This ultimately gave me inspiration in creating project brief 3, which was a mixture of original and archival (found) footage. The next post is about Lectorial 7  which explores semiotics in both image and sound, which I found really interesting. The last post discusses narrative in one of my favourite film Run Lola Run. This german thriller is one of my favourite in terms of original narrative as well as utilising fast-paced editing.
