Media is Everywhere

After the lectorial today, we were asked for form groups and search for mediated interactions/communications. My group was assigned to Melbourne Central, where we searched high and low for media.

Melbourne central is an environment full of sound and life being located right in the heart of the city. Entering the building we can hear the hustle and bustle of people traveling in and out of the building. Low and high we can see advertisements, most promoting shops and products found in the centre. We also notice the signs of many shops including food restaurants, clothing stores and various outlets. I found this task quite interesting as it reminded me how much media is constantly around us, yet subconsciously we don’t really take any notice.
