I decided to choose this studio due to its interesting concept of a focus on genre. I do recall focusing on genre briefly in a previous film class and found that it was very interesting topic to explore in film. My previous studios involved growing on my editing skills as well as filming creativity, so in this studio I want to expand my technical skills in film making as well as grow on existing skills. I would like to learn more about audio and lighting, as well as utilizing adobe after effects in post-production. I look forward to learning about genres I am less familiar with and applying genre conventions to practical exercises. I am also looking forward to watching different genre films I wouldn’t ordinarily watch and expanding my film knowledge. I hope to be able to produce practical work which I am happy to willingly present to others.
